Dear Braestone Golfers,
We hope you have had an active, healthy and enjoyable winter. Things certainly have been very busy around The Club as the weather has been extremely co-operative. Construction of the new clubhouse remains on schedule and we pray that Mother Nature continues to be kind. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for an early spring so that we can open the clubhouse in July!
As we work toward the interior construction of the clubhouse, the transformation occurring over the next 3 months will be remarkable. With the extensive improvements on the golf course over the 2019 season, and a gorgeous completed clubhouse in 2020, we anticipate that this will be the place that everyone will want to be! We are very proud of what we have achieved in such a short time frame, and, we look forward to sharing the results with all of our guests!
As membership grows… so too will our club events. Finalization of the 2020 tournament schedule is taking place and will be communicated in April. The Ladies League will begin on June 2nd and will be led by Pam Musson (Captain) and Denise Osborne (Braestone Club). Every Tuesday will be considered Ladies Day at Braestone Club, with great rates, for all women that wish to play. Hopefully our Braestone Club Ladies Day, along with the support of the members, will assist in the growth, participation and development of women golfers in our area. This day will be an open invitation, for all women, both members and public players.
Men’s Night was a great success in 2019 and will continue with the same format in 2020. The men’s committee is led by Dave Henderson (Captain), Paul Smith, Tim Lawlor (Co Captains) and Brady Zordan (Braestone Club Assistant Pro). Thank you to all of the participants last season. We are looking to grow this event this year, and hope to register up to 64 players, for each week. Public players are welcome to participate every Wednesday throughout the summer. We anticipate that our members will help spread the word. Men’s night will be extra special this year, with all of our participants, embracing the ambiance of our beautiful new clubhouse.
In addition to our standard memberships, a new offering in 2020, will be a corporate membership program at Braestone Club, for organizations with eight or more employees. This opportunity will serve as a platform to reward company employees, customers and associates, by playing a round of golf, and relish our Braestone Club experience.
Our official opening day remains May 15th. With that being said, weather does play a significant role. We will be certain to communicate any changes should they arise. We can appreciate that everyone is eager to begin the 2020 golf season. Personally, I am eager to play, and can’t wait to experience the challenges that our redesigned improvements have brought to this magnificent golf course. This “gem” has finally been cut… and it is beginning to sparkle!
We look forward to welcoming you again to Braestone Club in 2020!
Sincerely,
Greg Hickey
