Dear Members,
It’s nice to finally see winter coming to an end with these spring temperatures! Winter arrived early November, blanketing the golf course with snow and Braestone Club has been busy preparing and planning for 2019.
Golf season quickly approaches and I would like nothing more than to be able to provide you with a definitive opening date, but we are not in a position to do so at this time. Due to the early arrival of winter, we lost approximately 4 to 6 weeks of construction time and have been working tirelessly to recover. We will follow up in early May to provide further update.
As part of the construction phase there were some changes made to the course lay out. The first phase of construction included moving the 1st and 10th tees early last fall. There is a fair amount of work remaining before they are complete. Therefore, we will begin the season with temporary holes on #1 and #10. Also, the tees on #6 and #11 will be seeded and completed this spring. The golf course has under gone extensive renovations and improvements over the past two years that Braestone Club is excited to display.
In preparation for our new Clubhouse, the old “Clubhouse” will disappear in the next few weeks. Therefore, we will be installing a temporary Pro Shop, deck and washroom facility not far from the old structure to accommodate golfers this season.
As you all know, this will be a season of growth, and along with growth comes growing pains. One thing that will remain is our commitment to great customer service.
